Kraken

Kraken I did to participate to the DPSchool challenge, always a great way to find the motivation to make a personnal piece.
Here is another piece from my little series reimagining a creature from European folklore; for the Kraken, I wanted to avoid the classic giant squid and made it a hermit crab specially adapted for life on the high seas, some grow so large that they have difficulty finding new protection for their abdomen, so they use ship hulls.
